We regret to inform you that the Leeds (St John’s Shopping Centre) branch of 4 SIGHT Eyecare Centres will be permanently closing at the end of August 2026.

Like many other small businesses, recent economic challenges have made business in Leeds unsustainable for us. There are no plans to relocate the practice to an alternative location. As such, in line with NHS guidance and legal requirements, all optical records will be transferred to Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, where they will be retained for 10 years following your last appointment.*

We have selected Scrivens as a transferee for your records due to their shared ethos of providing excellent, individualised, family-friendly eyecare. With multiple branches in the Leeds area, we hope that Scrivens will continue to provide the same welcoming, reliable and professional experience that you have come to expect from us at 4 SIGHT.

Whilst we are sorry to say goodbye, we are pleased to report that many of the longstanding staff you have come to know will also be moving to Scrivens following our closure.

Active patients (those seen within 5 years) will be written to directly (by email or post) with confirmation of their last eye examination appointment and their scheduled “due-date” – at which time they will be invited to attend their closest Scrivens branch. If you are on a Premier Contact Lens Plan with us, or member of our Flexi-Plan Scheme, we are working with Scrivens to ensure that your lens supply remains uninterrupted, and that no action is required to update your Direct Debits – these will change automatically in the coming weeks and further information will follow.
